Our Story
From the very beginning, nothing about Dylan Guilmette’s journey was easy or handed to him. At 12 years old in the New North End of Burlington, while most kids were thinking about weekends and video games, Dylan was knocking on doors with a shovel and a lawn mower. He started out doing landscaping and snow plowing, taking on any job he could find. Long days, freezing mornings, and late nights were normal. That’s where he learned what “blood, sweat, and tears” really meant.
Those early years taught Dylan that hard work isn’t a slogan — it’s showing up when it’s dark and cold, finishing the job when you’re tired, and doing it right even when no one is watching. He built trust one driveway, one yard, and one neighbor at a time. People didn’t just hire him for the work; they respected his drive and his commitment.
By 2020, when COVID hit, Dylan saw something bigger. People were home more, cleaning out their spaces, starting projects, and trying to get organized. At the same time, he noticed how much waste was piling up and how hard it was for residents and businesses to find a reliable, honest company to handle it. He knew there had to be a better way — one that respected both the people and the environment.
That’s when Guilmette Carting was born. Starting Guilmette Carting in the middle of a global crisis wasn’t easy. It meant long hours, tough decisions, and taking real risks. But Dylan was driven by more than just building a business. He wanted to create something that would truly help people and make his community cleaner, safer, and more sustainable. Every dumpster delivered, every load hauled, and every job completed is part of that mission.
Guilmette Carting is built on the idea that waste management can be done the right way — with care for the environment and respect for the residents who live here. Dylan works tirelessly to make sure materials are handled responsibly, sites are left clean, and customers feel taken care of from the first call to the final pickup. This isn’t just about trash; it’s about protecting the neighborhoods he grew up in and the places we all share.
Today, Guilmette Carting stands as the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination. Dylan still brings the same energy he had at 12 years old, but now with a bigger purpose: to give Burlington and the surrounding areas a waste management service that truly cares. Every day, he pours his effort into bettering the environment and improving the lives of the residents he serves — one job, one load, and one satisfied customer at a time.
